Setting Up Data Residency
Data residency determines where your workspace data is physically stored. This is crucial for organizations that must comply with regional data protection regulations.
Why Data Residency Matters
Many regulations require that personal data and sensitive information be stored within specific geographic boundaries:
- •GDPR — May require EU-based storage for European citizen data
- •UK Data Protection Act — Governs data storage for UK-based organizations
- •SOX Compliance — Some interpretations prefer US-based storage for financial data
- •Industry Standards — Certain sectors have specific regional requirements
Available Regions
AUDIGYD offers data storage in multiple regions:
- •United States (US-East, US-West)
- •European Union (EU-Central)
- •United Kingdom (UK-South)
- •Asia Pacific (AP-Southeast)
Choosing Your Region
During workspace creation, you'll be asked to select your preferred data region. Consider:
1.Your primary user base location — Choose the region closest to most of your users for better performance
2.Regulatory requirements — Ensure the region meets your compliance obligations
3.Client expectations — Some clients may require their data be stored in specific regions
Important Notes
- •Data region is set during workspace creation and cannot be changed afterward
- •All workspace data, including assessments, templates, and uploaded files, will be stored in the selected region
- •Your region choice is visible in Workspace Settings > Data Residency
