Quick Start for Respondents

As a Respondent, your job is to answer assessment questions and provide evidence. Here's how to get started.

Step 1: Check Your Assignments

When you're assigned to an assessment, you'll receive a notification. You can also see your assignments by:

1.Visiting the Dashboard — assigned assessments appear in your activity feed
2.Going to Assessments — filter by "Assigned to me"

Step 2: Open the Assessment

Click on the assigned assessment to open the respondent form. You'll see:

  • The assessment name and description
  • A list of domains (topic sections)
  • Questions within each domain
  • Your progress indicator

Step 3: Answer Questions

Work through each question:

  • Text Questions — Type your response in the text field
  • Yes/No Questions — Select Yes or No
  • Single Select — Choose one option from the list
  • Multi Select — Choose one or more options
  • Evidence Questions — Upload supporting documents

Tips for good responses:

  • Be specific and detailed in text answers
  • Reference specific policies, procedures, or controls
  • Upload relevant evidence documents

Step 4: Attach Evidence

For questions requiring evidence:

1.Click the Attach Evidence button
2.Select files from your computer
3.Supported formats: PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PNG, JPG, MP4, MOV, WebM
4.Maximum file size: 100 MB per file

Step 5: Review and Submit

Before submitting:

1.Review all your answers for completeness
2.Check that required evidence is attached
3.Look for any PII warnings and address them
4.Click Submit Assessment

After submission, your responses go to the reviewer. You'll be notified when the review is complete and you can view your scores.
