Managing Findings
Findings document specific gaps, issues, or observations identified during the review process.
What Are Findings?
A finding represents an identified issue that needs attention. Findings are linked to specific questions and help track remediation efforts.
Creating a Finding
1.During review, click Create Finding on a question with an issue
2.Fill in the finding details:
- Title — A brief description of the issue
- Description — Detailed explanation of the gap
- Severity — Low, Medium, High, or Critical
- Recommendation — Suggested remediation steps
3.Optionally assign remediation to a team member
4.Set a remediation deadline
Finding Severity Levels
| Severity | Description | Expected Response |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | Immediate risk requiring urgent action | Address within 24-48 hours |
| High | Significant gap that needs prompt attention | Address within 1-2 weeks |
| Medium | Notable issue that should be addressed | Address within 30 days |
| Low | Minor observation or improvement suggestion | Address in next assessment cycle |
Tracking Findings
After creating findings:
- •View all findings on the assessment detail page
- •Filter by severity, status, or assignee
- •Track remediation progress
- •Add comments and updates to findings
Finding Lifecycle
1.Open — Finding has been created
2.In Progress — Remediation work has started
3.Resolved — The issue has been addressed
4.Verified — The resolution has been confirmed
Best Practices
- •Create findings for all failed questions, not just critical ones
- •Be specific about what needs to change
- •Set realistic remediation deadlines
- •Follow up on findings in subsequent assessment cycles
