Review and act on pending evidence and policy approvals from web and mobile.

Approvals Inbox

The Approvals inbox queues evidence artifacts and policies waiting on your review. It is available in the tenant app and on mobile under the Approvals tab.

Inbox tabs

  • All (n) — combined queue of evidence and policies
  • Evidence (n) — only pending evidence artifacts
  • Policies (n) — only policies awaiting your approval

Each item shows:

  • Title — artifact or policy name
  • Subtitle — description or version (e.g. v1.2)
  • Time ago — how long the request has been pending (5m ago, 2h ago)
  • Owner tag and a type badge (Evidence or Policy)

On tablets, selecting an item opens it in a split-pane view; on phones it navigates to the detail page (/approvals/evidence/[id] or /approvals/policy/[id]).

Acting on an evidence approval

1.Open the item to see the artifact, source, owner, and linked controls
2.Choose an action:
  • Approve — confirm, then a success message appears and the item leaves the queue
  • Reject — opens a modal that requires a Reason for rejection (minimum 3 characters)
  • Approving or rejecting routes the item back to the owner and updates the evidence status.

    Acting on a policy approval

    1.Open the policy to review the version under review
    2.Choose:
  • Approve — same confirmation flow as evidence
  • Request changes — opens a modal asking "What changes are needed?" and requires a comment
  • Permissions

    Only members whose role includes evidence:approve (for evidence) or policies:approve (for policies) can open the Approvals tab at all. Members without either permission see "You don't have permission to view approvals" on mobile, and the tab is hidden from their bottom navigation.     Tips

    • Add a clear rejection reason — it appears in the activity log and in the owner's notification email.
    • Use the All tab when triaging quickly; switch to a typed tab when working through a backlog.
    • Approvals are time-sensitive; the workspace can configure SLA reminders in Notifications settings.
